Great capture, I was examining how you offset the side of the building and window from center then realized it led my eyes right to the person on the sidewalk. Which I think is a subtle way to lead to the true focus of this shot.
This alarmed me - when I finally found the person on the pavement, I assumed a beggar (in Florence?), and that your intention was to contrast affluence with poverty. Then I examined the trench - a workman fixing cables under the street? The lack of focus makes for anxiety.
One bag can cost over a 1000 dollars yet there are people in this world who could survive for 6 months on that money. Priorities are sometimes questionable. But I guess I can say the same about me blowing all that cash on a camera.
My first impression on this one was a simply WOW - a beggar right in front of LV, what an excellent take to show reality and contrast of this human society. After reading Sidonie's comment, I looked at it very closely again and it does look like a man trying to fix something under the street. Well, whatever it is ... I think it's an excellent perspective!
