No início do século era uma mercearia, agora o Pavilhão Chinês é um bar à moda antiga. Fica no Príncipe Real, em Lisboa, e é o sítio ideal para conversas longas. Em 1901 o Pavilhão Chinês vendia especiarias, cafés e chás. A ligação ao Oriente mantém-se apenas na lista variada de chás da China. Os armários que restam da antiga mercearia servem hoje para guardar os inúmeros objectos das várias colecções que se encontram nas cinco salas do bar: cerâmicas de Bordalo Pinheiro, soldadinhos de chumbo, aviõezinhos de brincar e artigos militares relacionados com as duas guerras europeias. As salas estão mais ou menos arrumadas por temas, mas ao mesmo tempo suficientemente "desarrumadas" para não parecer um museu, mas sim um espaço que tem muitas histórias para contar. Recomendam-se os "cocktails", os vinhos tintos e as sanduíches a acompanhar um petisco nocturno.

huge amount of decoration in there! a shame the white balance isn't quite right (much too orange). and the wall on the left side of the picture does not look nice.

I love all the colors too! Great Bar to have a cocktail. The reddish wood gives off a warm reflective glow to the room. Probably mahogany or cherrywood. That, plus the reddish/pink lighting gives the photo its color. All the other objects look about right to me - so if you had altered your white balance, it would look cold, instead of warm and cozy. Great detail Badala!

I love the way the light falls in this photo, generating some lovely deep colours. I suppose a good deal of postprocessing was involved to get them like this. Well done!
