Scott Schilling from San Martin, United StatesBeautiful image with the fog and the very old structures - amazing! and then the red umbrella - perfect in the rain! 26 Apr 2009 5:17am Craig from Vacaville, California, United StatesLovely fog capture! I've not seen buildings like these. What are they? 26 Apr 2009 5:25am @Craig: An hórreo (Spanish) is a granary built in wood (Iberia or Scandinavia) or stone (Iberia), raised from the ground by pillars ("pegollos", in Asturian, "esteos", in Galician) ending in flat stones or "mueles" or "tornarratas", to avoid the access of rodents. Ventilation is allowed by the grooves in its walls. Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New ZealandAmazing!!! Those buildings are quite strange and unusual!!! Great capture. 27 Apr 2009 2:49am Gonçalo from PortugalIsto é o quê? :) Esva a chover. 28 Apr 2009 11:48pm Luis A. De Jesus R. from Mexico City, MexicoWhat are these and why are they elevated via the stones? 29 Apr 2009 3:50pm Magda from Vancouver, CanadaBeautiful place! Interesting angle and I love the pop of red! ;) 30 Apr 2009 6:13am |
