Did you read about this area of trash that flows in the Pacific Ocean somewhere between California and Hawaii, and that has the size of Texas? It's sort of an artificial island.

Though I haven't photographed them, I've come across similar scenes that have disheartened me. Even in the woods I find an occasional plastic bottle. Someone even dumped a refrigerator in a nearby creek! ....
